History
Virginia Land Company was established in 1953. Over fifty years in business, Virginia Land Company has engaged in all types of real estate development projects, including many key commercial and residential areas in Central Virginia.
Virginia Land Company’s founder and principal, Dr. Charles W. Hurt, brings with him over forty years of experience as a real estate entrepreneur. Dr. Hurt attended the Virginia Military Institute from 1945 to 1947 and graduated from the University of Virginia school of Medicine in 1954. He practiced as a general practitioner in Charlottesville from 1956 to 1958 and served as a Captain in the United States Air Force as a doctor from 1958 to 1960.
Virginia Land Company projects include apartment buildings, office complexes, commercial buildings, residential homes, and mixed use developments, as well as renovations of commercial and residential buildings.
